Company Background

Formerly a partner of Highfield Technologies Limited, managing director Barry Atkinson formed Electrinet, a limited liability company in July 2001, in order to focus his skills and resources further into power and data networks.

Since 2001 Electrinet has grown considerably and has a long and proven track record of installing and maintaining power and data networks, phone and data systems, computers and peripherals along with fire and security systems throughout the Eastland and Northern Hawke's Bay regions.

Now Eastland's largest electrical contracting firm, Electrinet employs on average 35 staff that operate a wide range of sophisticated plant and equipment. Day to day operations are directed by General Manager, Stu Blair and three divisional managers. Electrinet offers full design services for power, electrical and data, and also handles phone and fire alarm installations and testing.

Electrinet maintains a substantial commercial and domestic client base, and provides a 24-hour call out service.
In addition to providing a substantial range of electrical, fire and data services, Electrinet has undertaken virtually all underground reticulation in the Eastland region for local power network company Eastland Network Limited, as well as construction and maintenance of overhead lines and private power work.

Electrinet is committed to the health and safety of all staff, customers, contractors and the general public and has achieved tertiary level for three consecutive ACC audits (since June 2005). Electrinet takes health and safety seriously
Electrinet has worked hard to develop a robust health and safety system within a heavily regulated industry that takes no prisoners. Our system has been developed to meet the needs of our employees and stakeholders whilst creating confidence with companies that we contract to.

We are committed to excellence in health and safety and use the ACC Workplace Safety Management Practises scheme to ensure third party involvement in scrutinising our system. Electrinet currently holds tertiary accreditation by using a best practice framework that demonstrates continuous development.
